Completing the switch to the dark side (aka Nikon)

During 2008 I was Bi-shooter, Canon and Nikon. I’m technology agnostic, I just buy what I need to do the job. Shot with Canon equipment for 4 years, and then Nikon went and brought out the D3, which caused a lot of defections from Canon to Nikon.  Just about the best wedding camera on the planet, especially when combined with newer lenses like the 24-70. The D3 has it all, amazing autofocus, fantastic low light performance, it’s weather proof (handy for that west coast weather). And it has dual memory card slots which I use in backup mode, so I am protected against a memory card failure (my 2nd biggest nightmare….the first being missing a wedding).

I’ve just brought my 2nd D3 to replace my ageing Canon 5D, along with a new 85mm F1.4 lens, and the 70-200 VR lens. Looking forward to trying it all out at this weekend’s wedding!

So as a result of this I have a load of Canon Equipment to sell off; 5D+grip, 85mm F1.2 (Mk1 version), D30, 17-55 F2.8 IS, 70-200 F2.8L IS, and a EX580II flash. If you’re interested let me know, it’s all about to go up Fred Miranda’s Buy/Sell forum.
