Audrie & Jeff, A Nanaimo wedding

Probably the wettest wedding I’ve photographed in 10 years and nearly 400 weddings. The first major rain in about 3 months and a monsoon hit just after Audrie & Jeff’s outdoors ceremony started, at their home in Nanaimo. We battled through it, and a herculean effort by some from friends saw a makeshift massive tarp tent go up to keep us dry for dinner.

I simply ADORE the photo, of the moment captured with Audrie and Sophia, beautiful mother & babe, having a brief, stolen, cuddle time in the wooden chair together….. it shows strength, delicacy and love…… a true oasis moment in the midst their very busy day.

The photo of Audrie and Jeff walking in the rain…… their feet stepping in muddy time together, a complete monsoon, the two of them in sopping wet wedding day attire is gorgeous, raw and symbolic…. You had many challenges to navigate on this day, your work is outstanding, your effort and talent…. applauded!!! As is my daughters choice for who was to capture memories on their day. Glad YOU were with us! BRAVO CHRIS!!! Looking forward to seeing more!
