Mount Washington Wedding photos review

So time for the next Venue review for popular wedding destinations on Vancouver Island, Mt Washington. Which I happened to be at this past Saturday enjoying some great skiing on the deepest snow base on the planet, 7 metres!

Mt Washington hosts weddings at Raven Lodge which is separate from the main complex. The lodge is pretty big, not sure in max people limits, but I’ve shot weddings with around 150 guests there. If the weather is nice ceremonies are held outside next to the Lodge with full seating, and looking out across the mountains. If the weather isn’t cooperating then they can hold ceremonies inside the lodge in front of the great fireplace. The mountain has some great spots for photo shoots. A walk along the broadwalk in Paradise Meadows is stunning, as well as trip to top of the mountain. I quite often take bridal parties to the top as the Eagle ski lift still runs during the summer. Fancy a snowball fight in July/August?! You can probably do it on the mountain top! Which btw has stunning views across the Straight of Georgia to the Mainland.

The lodge offers great food for reception buffets, with your wedding day wishes coordinated by the Resort wedding planners, Rob and Colleen (who’s own wedding I photographed a couple of years ago).

As a Mount Washington Wedding Photographer you can see weddings I’ve photographed at Mt Washington here.
